Tens of millions of dollars are being spent by insurance companies to comply with Health Care Reform. September 23rd was a major deadline, ushering in new health benefits for consumers mandated by the Affordable Care Act. Insurers rushed to change plans and benefits, re-program claim and administrative systems, update webpages, and change other technologies. Consumers will be picking up the tab with premium increases from 10% to 20% beginning in 2011.
