In 2023, we sounded the alarm that a hard insurance marketplace was upon us which meant increasing premiums, stricter underwriting, reduction in types of acceptable risk classes and limited
insurance markets. This trend has begun to cool off now, as wildfire scoring, higher protection classes and property age underwriting are now standard in practice for Homes and Property.
