Safeco Insurance customers will soon begin seeing a new name on their policies. Liberty Mutual has announced that it will be retiring the Safeco brand and transitioning to a single, unified brand under the Liberty Mutual name. 

Safeco was acquired by Liberty Mutual in 2008 and has continued to operate under its original name for many years. This upcoming change reflects Liberty Mutual’s goal of streamlining its brand and delivering an even stronger, more consistent experience to better serve their customers. The Safeco name will be retired on April 25, 2026.

A NAME CHANGE ONLY: Please know that this change will not impact your coverage, your policy, or your relationship with us as your agent. Only the insurance company name on your policy will change from Safeco to Liberty Mutual. No action is needed on your part.
