Motorcycles – Idaho STAR Safety Training

The Idaho STAR program in Lewiston offers safe driving courses for motorcyclists. The courses start in April 2018 and run from $65 to $135, depending on the course. Classes through July are now open for registration. Click HERE to register!

STAR stands for Skills Training Advantage for Riders, for they believe there are real advantages in being properly trained and prepared to ride. STAR's hands-on training helps make Idaho’s roadways safer for all of us. In fact, a review of all 7,738 motorcycle crashes statewide from 1996 - 2010 indicated that STAR training is associated with a 79% reduced crash risk. There was also an 89% reduction in the risk of a fatal crash.

STAR is an Idaho Division of Professional-Technical Education program and is accredited by the National Association of State Motorcycle Safety Administrators (SMSA).
