Seniors who have Medicare supplements have new options your Agent can review.
Tim Gleason and Dave Root are our licensed health insurance agents who quote and issue Medicare Supplemental plans in Idaho and Washington.
“As your health agent, I wanted to be sure to inform my clients of a new two-part rule put into effect by the state of Idaho,” said Dave Root in an email to his clients. “They have changed the way policies are rated. Instead of having premiums rise just because you are a year older, they now charge the same premium for people aged 65 to 105.”
Area residents who older than age 75 can see a significant decrease in their premiums. And, this is all without answering any health questions, which is the second part of what the state has changed in the law.
“So the bottom line is that you can keep the exact same plan, and you don’t have to answer health questions and you can also save money by letting me quote your plan in several different companies,” Dave explained.

The window of opportunity to change to the better rating is keyed off your birthday which is a few months away, but you will be seeing ads and receiving mailers talking about this opportunity.
For seniors in Washington, Dave and Tim can requote your Medicare supplemental options at any time. To get a quote on a Medicare supplemental plan to compare with what you have now, you can contact Dave or Tim at (208) 746-9646 or medical [at] am-ins [dot] com.
